We’re looking for passionate and committed individuals with experience in Ottawa’s health system to help us realize that vision by joining our OHT – ÉSO Primary Care Provider Table.

Who can be part of the OHT – ÉSO Primary Care Partner Table? 

 

You’re eligible to join if you: 

  • Live in the City of Ottawa 

  • Are a Family Physician or Nurse Practitioner 

  • Can review written materials and engage in meetings in English  

  • Can regularly access documents and communication through the Internet 

 

We’re looking for Primary Care Providers with great collaboration skills.  You can: 

  • Share the Primary Care Provider perspective clearly and effectively — and think beyond your individual experiences to consider the health system and its relationship to social services and community supports more broadly  

  • Share your knowledge and experience about the barriers and challenges you’ve faced when trying to practice care in our current health system 

  • Share opinions and work collaboratively with a group of people with diverse experiences and ideas 

  • Come to the table to drive to solutions, not your agenda 

  • Participate willingly and share resources, skills, and information freely 

  • Listen with an open mind to others points of view and be ready to re-evaluate your position  

  • Understand and value the contributions of others 

  • See value in engaging with diverse people and perspectives to facilitate group success 

  • Seek opportunities to build positive relationships across professional lines 

  • Be able to effectively translate knowledge and information from projects to others 

  • Adapt your working style to suit the situation 

  • Contribute and consider the ideas of others and refrain from immediate judgement and criticism  

  • Share accountability for team decisions and actions 

  • Give and receive feedback 

  • Suspend attachments to power, status and interpersonal and inter-professional dynamics  

  • Agree to and follow the OHT – ÉSO confidentiality agreement and code of conduct
