Round 2 - Summary
In January 2025, the Ontario government announced a $1.8 billion investment to support Dr. Jane Philpott and the Primary Care Action Team’s plan to connect every person in Ontario to primary care by 2029.
In October 2025, the second round of IPCT proposals was launched for FY2026-27. This round will support 75 new or expanded teams across the province, facilitating attachment for 500,000 more people to primary care.
In Round 2, all Ontario Health Teams (OHTs) were eligible to submit at least one proposal, with more proposal slots allocated based on the scale of primary care unattachment. Ottawa OHT-ÉSO submitted six IPCT proposals in Round 2.
